A BUCKET FULL OF WATER and A PAINT BRUSH

Isn't it amazing how a bucket of water and a paintbrush can keep a child amused for ages. This was how we enjoyed our evening after dinner tonight. We all headed outside as it was a beautiful evening, Jordan painted the paving and we sat back and relaxed or in my case drank my cuppa. Oh and Nanny had the job of spraying the water bottle onto the area Jordan was painting for some extra texture!!
An oldie but a goodie. Talking of oldies, I got out mum's old receipe book which she has handed down to me and made up a bunch of cookies (have I used it in the right context Paul?), I was on a roll so ended up baking my good old favourites with a little twist as well (Cinnamon and Honey biscuit/muffins as Jordan calls them with coconut).

Coincidence or not - a couple of nights ago I read Jordan Percival which is all about a caterpillar who makes a cacoon and then becomes a butterfly. Today we found a cacoon on the side of Ba's BBQ and Jordan knew exactly what was going on and how it was going to come out as a beautiful butterfly.

SWIMMING NEWS UPDATE
I'm leaving our best news for last "Daddy, Jordan put his head under the water" Yahoo !!!
We were playing in the pool having a great time and as we were swishing around in the deep end he went under up to his goggles and thought it was fun. I asked him if he wanted me to go under with him and he said "yes". He wasn't that happy when we came up as water went into his goggles and got his eyes wet but other than that he was OK and there wasn't one tear to be seen.......

Weather permitting, we will tighten the goggles and have another go tomorrow!
