OUR MAGICAL ADVENTURE - Day 16

Thursday 2nd April 2009 - Leavenworth to Spokane, Washington
We woke up to more snow again this morning although nothing like Yosemite but still very pretty. After ringing up the Young Living Farm at St Maries to organise a visit, I found out that it wasn't possible due to a covering of 10ft of snow. A little disappointed but instead of the visit to the farm we will head back into Leavenworth and have a look around. Leavenworth really is a gorgeous little Christmas village and the shops are full of Christmas themed decorations and art. This is one place we definitely want to come back and spend more time at and apparently the best time to visit is at Christmas or this time of year. We looked around for about an hour, had an early lunch in a bakery and then headed off to Spokane as Paul had a Private Lesson scheduled with Nick and didn't want to be late for that. Another Mountain Pass to go over but at 2,500ft it was completely different to yesterday's. The forests and snow have all given way to a flat barren landscape with only the snow capped mountains in the background as a reminder of what we had just traveled through. Although quite barren, it is still magnificent in its own right. Not quite making the KOA in time for Paul's lesson we had to stop at another McDonalds for the internet. Unfortunately this McDonalds must be the only McDonalds in America to not have wifi but the motel across the road did so Paul headed back to the RV while Jordan and I stayed in McDonalds. Lessons and play times over we headed off to Spokane KOA and I soon had dinner cooking while Jordan and Paul played in the snow and ending the day with a beautiful sunset that Paul took a photo of.
