One of my biggest achievements since coming back from N.Z. has definitely been finishing the Tax and sending it to the Accountant - It was done with the minimum of stress which is HUGE for me.
Whilst I was working on the Tax, Jordan and Daddy got to do some great building projects together and this is one of their achievements. I couldn't help myself though and just had to get involved in some of the fun.
Before heading off to Ecuador, I saw a bolero jacket in a knitting book and loved it instantly. On closer inspection, I realised it was actually crocheted and not knitted, well I decided this was not going to deter me and I was up for the challenge , AND here it is. I really really enjoyed making it and for the most part was very easy and so quick to make. I just love it and the bling button just finishes it off perfectly.
My candlewicked quilt is also coming along nicely, I think I am up to 5 squares now which considering the amount of travel we have done since I started this project isn't too bad. I love when I find a couple of moments to myself and the peacefulness that always comes with the embroidering of my knots. With every knot I am one step closer to finishing my work of love.
Oh Janine, I love the crochet bolero! Way to go. What a huge project to start with and it looks fantastic. What book did you use???? I really have to make something big like this for myself. I am knitting finger puppets right with a bunch of leftover wool. It is fun and they are super cute. I will put them on the blog when they are done. Talk to you soon!!!
ReplyDeleteCame from "Australian Knitting" mag. Will try and get you a copy. I saw some finger puppets the other day and thought they would be so cute to knit - can't wait to see the finished products.
