What does Wealth mean to you

"What does "wealth" mean"? That was the question Jordan came out with last night at dinnertime. Wealth: a great quantity or store of money, valuable possessions, property, or other riches: the wealth of a city.
anything that has utility and is capable of being appropriated or exchanged.
rich or valuable contents or produce: the wealth of the soil.
the state of being rich; prosperity; affluence: persons of wealth and standing.
Obsolete. happiness.
It brought about a wonderful discussion about the different definitions, the most common being that wealth is determined by how much money you have accumulated. Well that may be one of the most common definitions but it isn't the one that our little family believes. Our belief stems around "wealth" being measured by how happy we are and whether we are living true to our dreams. I know when I am not living true to my dreams and aspirations, I am not a very happy or wealthy person. You can have all the money you like but if you are too scared to spend any for fear of not having any left or for any other number of reasons you are not happy, I don't believe that constitutes being very rich or wealthy at all. On the other hand, you may not have much money at all but living your life how you want to live it and being grateful and happy for what you have - is that not the sign of a very "wealthy" person??? It all comes down to your outlook. What do you think, what is your definition of "wealth"?

  1. A wealth of:
    friends
    knowledge
    morals
    charity
money can lose its value in many ways.
Things that make ourselves and our lives whole and meaningful make us wealthy.
    At least "in our eyes"
lol no pun intended of course
