Christmas Pudding time

Its that time of year again.......

The fruit has been soaking for about 6 - 7 weeks and finally today was the day for making Xmas Puddings.

Again it was a loving effort from 3 generations as well as Daddy joining in the efforts this year.
This is a family tradition which was officially handed over to me last Christmas from my mother so in the making of  Traditions, I changed the recipe ever so slightly by eliminating the sugar and substituting with honey.  Next year I will be flying completely solo!

The puddings are a little unusual as the mixture is placed in bottling jars and then they are boiled in the steralizer.  Everyone says how delicious they are and looks forward to the next years bottle although I can't personally verify this as I don't eat Xmas Pudding - too many squishy, squashy things in it for my liking!!

Here Jordan is pictured stirring the mixture after he had sifted the flour and put flour all over me with what ended up on the bench.

Boiling away in the Steralizer

Cooling Down

Ready for Xmas !

One of the bottles didn't seal properly so the majority rule of the house was "EAT" it
and the verdict was delicious.
