Happy Mothers Day & Quick n Easy Cleaning Recipe

 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Wishing all  mothers a very happy Mothers Day - may you be pampered and appreciated for all that you do as a mother.

QUICK n EASY CLEANING

Today's cleaning recipe uses essential oils.  It doesn't matter what brand you use but do make sure it is an "Essential Oil" and not a "Fragrance" as there is a big difference between the two.

Disinfectant Spray #1
 2 cups water
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 tspn Tea Tree Oil
1/4 tspn Lavender

Combine all ingredients and store in a Spray bottle making sure you label it.  Shake occasionlly.

Disinfectant Spray #2

2 cups water
10 drops Thyme Essential Oil

Combine in a Spray bottle making sure you label it.   Shake occasionally.

I use the 2nd recipe to spray around a room when somebody has been sick or is sneezing/coughing, especially if they have been sick in bed for a couple of days.  Takes away that "ill" stuffy smell and freshens up the room.  You can even spray the sheets/pillows with it.

  1. Oh I was so glad when I read this. I don't have a recipe for a homemade natural disinfecting spray, just an all-purpose cleaner. I can't wait to make this. I have been wanting to email you with this question but I couldn't find your email? I like to put lavender essential oil in my son's night time bath but after reading around on your website I was wondering if the oil I had was good to be using. Could you tell me a bit more about what to look for in an essential oil and also what to watch out for? Maybe some brands that you approve of? Thank you! :)
