Yesterday Jordan and I met Nancy, her family and a couple of their friends at the Globe to Globe World Music Festival.
Initially, feeling tired I wasn't sure if we should go but decided that I would make the effort even if we only stayed for a couple of hours. I am so glad we went - we had a great afternoon/evening.
Jordan thought it looked like a circus when we first arrived and couldn't wait to get inside the gates. Lots of music, drum workshops, food, rides etc etc. People from all walks of the world joined together with the love of music having a good time.
We found the perfect table under some shade, set up camp and everybody just came and went as they pleased.
Jordan on one of the rides......
Although a little unsure at first about jumping so high,
Jordan was soon laughing and loving it.
No flips this time, maybe next time he will be up to it !!
Nancy and I were joking the other day about how we were planning an arranged wedding for Jordan and Anna........ well I had to laugh, the 2 of them were playing in the playground after only knowing each other a short time and Anna wanted to go on the seesaw but there was a little boy on it so she took Jordan's hand and they both just stood there holding hands waiting for the little boy to get off - how I wish I had my camera with me....... does this mean they are officially dating !!!
Seriously though, I had an amazing afternoon with friends I have only just met. Great, honest & meaningful conversations with like-minded souls discussing a wide variety of topics, combined with fun, dancing, kids football, make believe games "directed" by who else but Jordan and just enjoying the afternoon in the sun.
The generosity, warmth and integrity of everybody was enlightening, in fact I am deeply moved by how much so and the way the guys played with Jordan at the same time allowing him to get to know them in his own way. He was giving them hugs goodbye at the end of the evening which was lovely to see. Nancy and Tim's children, Gabe and Anna are both beautiful, kind, thoughtful, caring children and they all got along wonderfully. I loved that we were somewhere the kids had the room to express themselves freely whilst having fun playing and knowing they were in a safe environment where we were all looking out for them but not restricting their natural inquisitiveness.
I had asked for a friend for Jordan with like-minded parents and I met Nancy. The day we met was an amazing day for everybody present and links our friendship and spiritual journey together with many adventures to be shared.
We are all on different journeys but our paths frequently cross with other souls to learn and share knowledge.
