Today is a very special day for my parents - 50 years ago they were getting married.
Today has also been one of the hottest days on record reaching 46.4 deg - now that is hot. Due to the weather, after a morning swim we have pretty much hibernated inside and the theme of the day has been "PIRATES" We made a Pirate Treasure Map, Nanny and Jordan then went on a treasure hunt using the Treasure Map which Jordan had hidden and then we made a Pirate Flag.

The beautiful flowers they received

Daddy was telling Jordan how he was driving along a road called Aligator Alley through Everglades yesterday, so of course we had to include a crocodile on the treasure map...
and of course we have been playing with the Castle which has also been the flavour of the week. Last week we bought a wizard for the castle as Nanny gave Jordan some money to buy something from a wonderful shop in Sassafras when we went there to meet up with a friend for coffee. Mummy thinks the next one should be a princess or queen for the castle !!
and lastly for today's entry, I have washed the material for my quilt in the makings. I am planning on cutting out the squares tonight or some of them at least so it is all ready to go with the candlewicking.
