OUR MAGICAL ADVENTURE - Day 5

Sunday 22nd March - Yosemite to Manchester Beach

This morning when we woke up it was snowing!!
The Camp Ground was beautiful yesterday but today being transformed into a white wonderland it truly is magnificent or as Jordan kept repeating as he was jumping up and down doing a little dance of excitement "its incredible, its snowing"
It was so cold that we had to put the heater on and while I went to have a shower Paul and Jordan went to have a look at the Playground or that is what I was told they were going to do. I don't think Jordan could believe it was covered in snow OR he just wanted an excuse to play in the snow again which is what happened - he went down the slide covered in snow!

We were ready to go fairly early this morning as we wanted to get going while the roads werent too bad. Luckily we were travelling on the main road and not the road we came by which was a windy narrow road and after 10 mins on the road we were below the snowline so that was a huge relief. Every so often we would come across areas with snow on the side of the road but for the most part it was clear and nothing like what we came from. I am so glad we went to the National Park yesterday as I doubt whether we would have gotten up there today even if we wanted to. It would have been beautiful though!

Again, more beautiful scenery to be seen. This is where we stopped for lunch.
and although not beautiful, incredible within itself. We have nothing like this - thank goodness for the GPS who hasn't gotten us lost once yet and I am sure has saved us from many stressful moments or dare I say navigation arguments. There hasn't been a single one!!
A view of San Francisco from the Motorway
A rather wooly sheep wandering beside the road - he really could do with a good shearing I think but at least he would be warm
