It was really cold again this morning when we woke up and I found it so hard to get out of bed. My internal body clock still hasn't adjusted properly yet as it felt like it was 7.00am when it was actually 10.00am.
After exploring the Camp Ground this morning and giving Jordan a play in the Playground and seeing inside the Video Game Train we headed off to Yosemite National Park.
The roads are very narrow and quite steep in some areas and the countryside is quite extrodinary. About 10km up the road the sides of the mountains were covered in poppy's - they were just beautiful and such a contrast to the rest of the landscape.
The entrance to the National Park was incredible, we drove through the rock to enter!
and here are some photo's of the view we came across
Within 5-10mins we saw snow!! Jordan was so excited and when we stopped so he could play in it, he was beside himself iwth excitement. He got to throw his first snowball at mummy, yes they both ganged up on me but eventually Jordan did throw them at Paul when I ran off! We didnt actually stay out in it for too long as in our haste to get out and see the snow we had left Jordan's slippers on and he didn't have any gloves on!

Further up the road we stopped to see the Bridalveil Falls. It was so cold and we had to really rug up but they were well worth the effort. I couldn't actually get a photo as it was so windy and wet from the offspray but Paul got a photo.
We found a great spot to stop for Jordan to play in the snow but as it was raining we decided to have lunch (hot soup and fresh bread) first then go out and play in the snow. This was the view we had while eating lunch.
By the time we had finished our lunch the rain had stopped so we rugged up for the snow and out we went. Jordan was so excited again and couldn't stop dancing around and falling in the snow. The boys made a snowman or rather Paul made most of it while Jordan was off playing with a little boy then they all helped with the finishing touches and of course had to destroy it at the end!!
and the view in the other direction and on the other side of the road....
We really did have a magical day today, enjoying being together again enjoying this wonderous countryside.
It was a beautiful drive back to the Camp Ground and soon after we had settled in for the evening it started to rain. It is such a wonderful sound to hear rain falling on the roof and I just love falling asleep listening to the sound of the rain when you are snug and warm inside.
