Our travels today showed us some more magnificent coastlines which were today's backdrop for our traditional "lunch with a view".
(You are such a beautiful child Jordan and the flowers you pick for me are so special, I treasure each and every one of them)
After heading inland we then came across forests and gorges which were spectacular.
The American landscape really is incredible and I must say I was more than a little surprised by this. I know they have the Grand Canyon and Niagra Falls but I just didn't think it would all be so beautiful and I would really like to come back and explore more spending more time than we have allocated for this trip.
Overall I have found the American's to be very polite, friendly and and more than happy to go out of their way to help and this was another pleasant surprise for me - I wonder why the American's on tour in other countries are so different!!
Later in the afternoon we started to come across the famous "Redwoods" and turned off the main highway to travel along the "Avenue of Giants". SPECTACULAR, what else can I say - you really have to see them and although the photo's are amazing, they are nothing compared to seeing them in person!!

After stopping for a treat, we were recommended to not miss the "Founders Walk". Well what a magical place this was and again words cannot describe it - truely amazing. The place had it's own special energy and it was just magical. I decided to "HUG" a tree to feel their energy but the energy was all around me before I even got near the tree. For those of you who have never "Hugged" a tree, try it next time you are around a big tree - if nothing else it will give you a smile.
Jordan hugging a tree!
and after a big day of travelling and exploring, we finally arrived at the KOA after dark and sat down to a nice hot meal of chickpea pasta which you can see from the photo isn't one of Jordan's favourites (who am I kidding!!)
