OUR MAGICAL ADVENTURE - Day 8

Wednesday 25th March - Crescent City, California

After a lazy morning and finding out the KOA shop didn't have any milk we set off into town for brunch armed with a summary of the local sights. Whilst filling up with petrol the attendant highly recommended a Hamburger diner down at the Pier called Beacon Burgers which was run by a local woman with local produce. Well Beacon Burgers was a little diner on the pier which looked decidedly tired but we decided to give it a try anyway. The diner was full of locals which was a good start, the staff were really friendly and they had organic burgers on the menu. Our Beacon Burgers were delicious and we even had some complimentary onion rings thrown in. As has been the case with some of the best little Chinese and Indian Cafe's we have found over time, so was the case with Beacon Burgers - just goes to show, you really can't judge a book by its cover. Other than Starbucks on the first day I haven't eaten anything from a Cafe or Restaurant so this was a nice surprise. Paul was saying it was definately the best burger he has tried in America (none of the others worth a mention) if not the best ever! jordan turner (this is Jordan's little addition to my blog).

Whilst down at the pier which was very cold and windy we were treated to a display by the local inhabitants who were very noisy and quite vocal when jostling for prime position on the pier.

The afternoon was spent with Jordan watching the Grinch and Paul & I updating our blogs as this is the first KOA that we have had a good internet connection.
