Today was a special day because it was ABC Teddy's birthday so when Jordan got home from school we made some muffins (as he calls the biscuits I make) and then sang Happy Birthday. Jordan & Teddy blew out the candle.
I absolutely love my little boys imagination and creativity - he has been building bridges on the clothes horse for the past couple of mornings. An added bonus is we always know where the pegs are now!

Today I had the rare opportunity to go and have a coffee/tea with my mother. We have not done this for such a long time and it was really nice. We have to go back again soon though as I didnt have my phone or camera with me and the cafe had the most amazing teapot !! It didn't have a spout, you put the pot on the rim of your cup and it automatically poured itself. I love it.
As most of our trip has now been organised I have sat back, relaxed and allowed the excitement to start bubbling up. It has been a day of realisation, letting go of the past and enjoying the present and I am very grateful to have a husband who is travelling a very similar journey and understands. He also has this amazing way of explaining things and the ability to hit the nail right on with the hammer. Love you Paul.

I have also been on a creative roll. I started knitting a bamboo washer for our trip but have since found out that they will be supplied in the kits we get with the RV and although I know they wont be bamboo I think I will make do and save these for when we move back to QLD or knit one over there. The washcloth pattern is gorgeous and if you are interested in knitting some for yourself or for presents here is the pattern.
This is the washer laid out after blocking which I have never done before. Although it took quite some time to do being the beginner I am, it certainly seems to be worth the effort. I will post a photo tomorrow when it is completely dry, ends sewn in and tell you if it still seems worth the effort of blocking. I just love the latte colour of the bamboo wool/cotton.

One of my other projects has been texta, pencil and crayon rolls for the trip to make it easier for Jordan when travelling in the RV doing crafts. I can't remember which site I found these but I think they are fantastic.
