This morning we are heading off to the Young Living farm in Mona and I as so excited. Jared who works in the Head Office at Lehi has organised a tour of the farm for us.
It was raining this morning but I was confident this will not hinder our tour and it will clear up in time which it did. Arriving around 10.15am, Jared was out the front of the Visitor’s Centre waiting for us. Normally they would send a van up to meet us but the battery was flat so Jared drove us over in his own car as it is quite muddy to walk at the moment. We spent the next hour or so being shown the Vats, Boilers, Laboratory and Greenhouses along with all the information we could take in. Really interesting and then Jared drove us down to see the animals, the most interesting for me was the Zeedonk, a cross with a donkey and zebra but they had lots of other animals too. One of the little billy goats was originally in with the Bisen but literally got tossed from one pen to another by the big Bisen and now resides with the elks……..
After the animals it was back to the Visitors Centre where Jared said his goodbyes and I got to do some retail therapy or I should say, some wholesale therapy. I could have spent a fortune but I did contain myself much to Paul’s relief!!
After the visit to Mono, we were back on the road making our way to Cannonville for our evening stop. The snow capped mountains are giving way to rock faced cliffs layered with colours ranging from light sand to pale pink to rich orange and deep reds. The rich red soil covers the ground everywhere and is even making its way into our RV from our frequent photo stops.
Our snow capped mountains have not been forgotten though and keep appearing just to remind us just how high we are and how cold it really is out there. Our highest summit today was 7,777ft!!
From the rock cliffs to snow capped mountains to hugh rolling hills all with their own stamp of natural beauty. Upon entering Red Canyon, it is just out of this world. We are back to rich orange rock cliffs that are really spectactular. Words cannot describe the uniqueness and beauty of this place which has it’s own very special magical energy.
