Finished Projects

PIRATE Oven Mitts (Jordan is delighted they have finally been finished)
Jordan has been wanting to help me put things in the oven recently which I wasn't overly keen about (our oven is a bit tricky for me & I didn't want to risk Jordan getting burnt) so I came up with the idea of making him some extra long, extra thick oven mitts and we found just the material for the job - perfect.
even Pirates lick spoons
the new oven mitts in action I also have another BIG project on the burner which involves more pirate material for one little boy and stretching this mama's sewing skills. I am hoping to have it completed for Xmas. How do you stop your son from just dropping his clothes wherever he takes them off without becoming a nag every morning and night? Well.... you get him his own Dirty Clothes Basket and keep it in his room IT REALLY IS WORKING
When we were staying with friends, their daughters had a Dirty Clothes Basket in their room and Jordan was using it along with them so I thought it was worth a go - I just hadn't seen one that suited his room up until now. Jordan loves it, he has been putting his dirty clothes in it every morning and night since we got it and the bin has a bag inside which Velcro's to the top so it can be taken out easily and carried to the laundry when full.
Jordan loves it, Mummy loves it !!

New Plans for my blog.............
I have decided to add a very new element to my blog shortly which I have been thinking about doing for some time so it is very exciting although at the same time a bit scary but more about that soon as I am not quite ready to share. And before I finish up, I just want to thank my beautiful SIL and friends for their concern over the last couple of days. I had an appointment with Helen (my Acupuncturist) today and I'm feeling a lot better - more centred and peaceful after her treatment. I thought I was OK but after having a treatment I realised just how scattered my body was after the shock. Thank you for your concern, I'm really OK now.
