Making informed choices

A Controversial but very important topic

Our generation has been blessed with so many available resources which make finding out information a cinch. Going back to my parents generation,although computers had been invented, access was the exception rather than the norm. This brings me to my topic of today "Vaccinations" which although very controversial with many many different opinions and emotions attached to it, I feel it really is a very important one. I do not write this with the intention to offend or to criticise any person and/or their choices they have made, and if I do so I sincerely apologise. I am very passionate about this subject and my whole intention is to bring attention to information and if I can help 1 person make an informed decision, the purpose of this entry has been achieved. In my opinion, and it is only my opinion, we owe it to our children and ourselves to do the research, afterall it is our health and our children's health at risk. We started, or I should say my husband started researching this topic well before we had a child. He is a fully qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor and whilst studying came across information which he decided to investigate further so that by the time we decided to have a child we could make informed decisions. Anybody that knows us well, knows just how much research he and we did on this subject before making any decision on whether to vaccinate or not. Today it is a lot easier to do the research than ever before - most of the information is readily available on the internet whereas we had to buy books and search out published research articles. I believe it is not good enough to vaccinate just because the doctor tells you to. Do your research and then make an informed decision. Why should the Government dictate and in some cases take away our right to choose how we maintain our health. I have linked some sites below with some recent and ongoing information for Vaccinations.
