Good but not excellent

After reading about this and loving the idea, I introduced a Gratitude Game within our play the other night.  Although Jordan is generally very good with presents and gratitude, I decided the game wouldn't go astray.

So after finding something to wrap up that was appropriate for the game we were playing at the time, I explained how we could think up ways to express our gratitude when we receive presents even if it wasn't exactly what we wanted.  All went really well and it wasn't long before the present giving was in full swing.

Nanny then gave Jordan a present and after opening it he said "Thank you this is good, not excellent but good" Well I know this isn't exactly what I had in mind but he was so serious about it.  I have said this so many times but these really are such precious moments.

I do think we need a little more practice though !!

  1. This is something i should have done 6 years ago. My Sarah is shocking at birthday and Christmas time. She turns her nose up, has said with a smile on her face "we already have one of those" and has said "NEXT" when opening presents. Dosnt matter what we do with her, she does the same thing each year!
