This day

A very determined and impatient little boy was born at 29 weeks and
weighing 1.15kg (2.5 lbs)

2 weeks old

All my expectations on having a baby and motherhood suddenly flew out the window and our life became centered around ICU and Special Care Nursery's for the next 2 months.  It was very emotional at times but the determination and courage shown in my little boy kept me strong and was such an inspiration.

We have been blessed with a very healthy and energetic boy for which I am eternally grateful.

He is cheeky
He is playful
He is imaginative
He is loud at times
He is quiet at times
He is thoughtful
He is compassionate
He is generous
He is kind
He is gentle at times
He is rough at times
He is chatty
He can be shy at times
He is forgiving
He is humble
He is proud
He is determined
He is protective
He is loyal
He is clever
He is willing to stand up for what he believes
(yes even at this young age, he has more courage than me at times)
He is cuddly
He is a beautiful soul

He is an absolute joy and I love him from the depths of my heart
He is 6 today

  3. Thanks Melissa - I had so much fun making the Bunting and when he saw it Jordan loved it too :-) (Happy Mumma).

He was tiny, he was only 3kg when he came home from hospital but he was a good eater and was putting 50g on every 2nd day. I used to see big babies and think they were huge (and they were compared to my tiny tiny baby).

I visited my friend who had a baby just after Jordan got out of hospital and her baby was so heavy although just an average birth weight (LOL)

He has done really well and you would never know today that he was such a premmie baby - we are very very blessed.

  4. 6 already! Wow. It only seems like such a short time ago I visited you both in hospital when Jordan was born!

I am looking forward to catching up now that you are Queenslanders again!
