OUR MAGICAL ADVENTURE - Day 19

Sunday 5th April 2009 - Dillon to Victor, Wyoming
Waking up this morning we discovered we didn't have any water - it had frozen overnight!! As the Kamp is nearly empty we met the couple Bob and Pam staying in the 5 wheeler behind us and as it turns out they are in the process of buying the KOA here at Dillon. The four of us got along extremely well with lots in common and Jordan loved playing "rough" with Bob. They have 6 children, 4 of whom are boys although grown up now so Bob is very used to boys and rough play. In fact I am not sure who had more fun, Bob or Jordan. We were invited in to see their 5 wheeler which is very luxurious and very big. They have a full sized kitchen complete with island bench, full sized 2 door fridge and freezer as well as washing machine and dryer. Large lounge area with desk area and a full sized bedroom with large shower, bathroom area. Bob and Pam sold their house in Southern California and have been living in their 5 Wheeler for the past 3 months very comfortably. We ended up chatting to 5.00pm then decided that if we wanted to see Grand Teton National Park we really had to make a move and get on the road as we had a 3 hour drive ahead of us to Victor. Yellowstone National Park roads are closed for another 3 weeks so we can only enter Grand Teton National Park from the southern entrance. Our drive took us over another mountain pass reaching an altitute of 5,000ft which once again showed us large mountains and frozen lakes all covered in snow. The natural beauty of the countryside never ceases to amaze us and has been so unexpected which adds to the delight of discovery. It was soon dark as we had left so late and on arrival at the RV Park at Teton Valley found that the snow had literally been shovelled away to make our site. Whilst Paul very quickly connected up the electricity, I patiently explained to Jordan why he couldn't go outside in the freezing cold to help Daddy! No doubt he will be out in the snow as soon as he can tomorrow morning.
