After brea kfa st a nd Jorda n getting dressed a nd rea dy to go in record time (a ma zing wha t the expecta tion of seeing a circus will do) we were out of the RV a nd hea ding off to Circus Circus which is the hotel a tta ched to the RV Ka mp Ground.
1st stop was the Theme Park inside Circus Circus Hotel which really is a city within the hotel, complete with roller coaster! Just amazing - all this inside a hotel.....
We then went off in search of the circus which took a bit of finding but we did find it a nd Jorda n loved it, especia lly the clown who enterta ined us before the ma in a ct (there is only 1 a ct per hour).
After the circus we hea ded outside towa rd Trea sure Isla nd which a ga in Jorda n just loved (2 big Pira te Ships). It wa s a nice sunny da y a nd decided to wa lk a long the strip not rea lising just how fa r from Circus Circus is from the centre of everything.
We found tha t most of the shows don’t sta rt until la ter in the evening beca use of the lights so a fter visiting a couple of ca sino’s we hopped on the “Duece” which is a double decker bus tha t runs up a nd down the strip which ga ve a grea t view of the ca sino’s etc (of course we ha d to sit up on the top level) a nd a lso ga ve my poor feet which were fa st developing blisters a cha nce to recover. Getting off the bus a t the fa r end we explored New York, New York (Pa ul’s fa vorite beca use of the roller coa ster) a nd Exca libur then sta rted to wa nder ba ck towa rds Circus Circus, stopping for the shows which ha d now sta rted (Da ncing Founta ins outside Bella gio, the exploding Volca no outside the Mira ge a nd the Eiffel Tower outside Pa ris) a nd something to ea t.
Wha t a n a ma zing pla ce a nd wha t a sensory smorga sboa rd!!
